GEMSTONE INFORMATION

Gemstones used in my work are selected for color, clarity, and harmony with the sculptural form.

When possible, stones are tested to confirm gemstone type. I am not a certified gemologist, and testing is limited to standard jeweler’s methods.

Some gemstones are laboratory-grown, while others are natural. Unless specifically noted in a product description, origin (natural or laboratory-grown) and any treatments may not always be determinable.

Laboratory-grown gemstones are chemically and optically equivalent to their natural counterparts and are commonly used in fine jewelry.

My focus is on fabrication, structure, and the relationship between metal and light. Each stone is chosen to support the design of the piece.

If you have questions about a specific gemstone in a specific piece, please feel free to inquire.
